Last updated: May 2026
Byrne Overseas Group ("we", "us", "our") operates the website expexplainedspain.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD). For any privacy questions please contact deborah@byrneoverseas.com.
1. Data we collect
We collect information you submit voluntarily through our lead capture form, including your first name, email address, optional WhatsApp number, and how you found the site. We also collect limited technical information automatically (browser type, device, approximate location, pages visited) through standard server logs and analytics.
2. Why we process your data (lawful basis)
We process your data on the basis of your consent (when you submit the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, providing the information you requested about the eXp Realty model in Spain, and following up by email or WhatsApp.
3. CRM and third-party services
Form submissions are stored in our customer relationship management (CRM) platform, GoHighLevel (HighLevel, Inc.). Calls may be scheduled through Calendly. Both providers act as data processors and apply their own security and GDPR safeguards. We may also use Google Analytics and YouTube (which sets cookies when you play an embedded video).
4. Marketing communications
With your consent we may send you occasional updates by email or WhatsApp about eXp Realty in Spain, Byrne Overseas Group, events, and related content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by replying STOP to a WhatsApp message.
5. Data retention
We keep your data only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and maintain our business records, or until you ask us to delete it.
6. Your GDPR rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email deborah@byrneoverseas.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.
7. International transfers
Some of our processors are based outside the European Economic Area. Where this is the case, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards approved by the European Commission.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the "Last updated" date above.
